Wow…the wonders never cease.
Who would have thought the stay-puff soldiers would find some use. Since my last article on the Barclay wonder
puffs…otherwise known as pod-foots, I've acquired two of the red painted,
“enemy” gimps. I got lucky…mine are
originals and I didn't have to pay an arm and a leg for them. Apparently, the red painted varieties are
highly sought after and are considered “rare”.
They still stink…but…I like them as Commie troops…
So, since I last opined on the “merits” of Barclay’s line of
crappy, cheap and cheesy army "things"…I've gathered up a few for the re-paint
pile. Yes…some stripper, some gloss
paint, a little bit o’ time and voila!..I got me a bunch of red book
waving, Stalin loving, Che quoting…targets…toy war is Hell…ain’t it?
